My dad is currently a resident at Newlands. From his initial visit in hospital, to his warm welcome when he arrived, and right up until now, we have been delighted with everyone there. He has had excellent personal care & pain management, and the staff have been on top of all his medical needs – for both existing and arising issues. What makes this home so special is the staff. They are kind, warm and obviously care about all the residents. They know dad, his preferences, interests & needs, and nothing is ever too much trouble. They always encourage him to take part in activities, and overall go above and beyond each and every day. It very much feels like a family. Dad has two young great-grandsons who visit regularly, and they are always made to feel very welcome (and spoiled!) by the staff. We cannot recommend Newlands Care Home highly enough. We are so pleased to have found such an excellent home for dad.

My gran was a resident at Newlands Care Home for nearly two years. Within those two years, I got my gran back. I didn't have to worry about any support for her, we became grandaughters visiting their gran. My mum was able to be a daughter. The staff there, made the last two years of my grans life beautiful. They got to know her so well and she learnt new activities everyday. We would be able to join in any of her activities, including painting together to doing her nails together. I was able to dress up in silly outfits for her to having ponies visit the care home. This place is a beautiful home, full of genuine love and care. I am so happy my mum found this home and my gran loved her home. Thank you so much newlands.
Our Mum was so lucky to find Newlands Care Home, in Dunfermline. Mum was nervous at first but everyone there including Management, all the staff, and the other residents took time to welcome her and make her feel it was a home from home. We were allowed to bring many of her own personal things in to make her room her own personal space and the transition easier because of that. As daughters who had cared for mum at home, Newlands allowed us to return to being daughters again while they took over the caring role with so much understanding and empathy. Newlands put a lot of fun back into Mums life with activities she just could not do at home. The daily menu was fantastic, and you were never short of a cup of tea. Our family would not hesitate to recommend Newlands Care Home. We can’t thank you enough Newlands for giving our lovely Mum, Gran and Great Gran back to us again.
I always recommend Newlands Care Home to people searching for a Care Home for their loved ones. I had first class experience of what a loving and caring Home it is both to the residents and to the family. It actually became my second home and I can't thank the staff enough for the wonderful care that was given to my husband. Nothing was ever too much for anyone. I still remember you all with fondness and your kindness to me.Thank you so much Nikki, Karen and all the staff. You deserve to be recognised as the "best Care Home" in the Kingdom of Fife 💕❤️
